Complete Home Makeover in San Diego

Just because a house is old and outdated doesn't mean that with a little TLC it can't be saved. We recently completed a major home makeover project in Bay Park, San Diego. The before and after pictures are amazing!

When nearly every part of a house has some sort of remodeling done, we call it a complete home makeover. We completely turned this house around. It hadn’t been updated since it was built in the 1940’s and with the recent makeover it looks great.  What was once an eyesore is now one of the best looking houses on the block!

For more photos of the kitchen, outside and bathrooms, visit our complete home makeover gallery.

The client was somebody who we have worked with in the past, and they knew we were up to the job.

This project included roofing, painting, rebuilding a second story composite walking deck, building a composite patio, installing a skylight, a kitchen remodel with custom cabinets, two bathroom remodels with tile to the ceiling, tile floor installation, refinish of existing hardwood floor, acoustic removal, interior texture and paint, exterior paint, windows, stucco, doors, new concrete and turning a game room into a master bedroom with a walk-in closet and bathroom.

Vintage Subway Tile Bathroom Remodel in San Diego

Did you know that most homes in San Diego are over 30 years old? After about 25 to 30 years most kitchens and bathrooms are begging for a complete remodel. Not only do design trends change over time, but kitchens and bathrooms get a lot of wear and tear. After a couple of decades, they really start to look their age.

If you are looking for something that’s modern and timeless, the vintage look of subway tiles is a great way to go. The look is classic—meaning that it won’t become outdated as quickly as pink tiles and faux marble counter tops did in the 80s.

Subway tiles are also durable and resilient. There are subway-tiled bathrooms and kitchens from the early 1900s that still look fabulous.

If you are looking for some ideas, here are a few pictures of a black and white tile bathroom remodel we recently completed in San Diego, CA.
